warrantyStick with the neighborhood professionals you have grown to know and trust at Kipling Car & Truck Service. Trained and certified to keep your new car running showroom smooth, our skilled technicians are your best choice for top-quality maintenance and service.

Regardless of what the salesperson at the big auto dealership may have said, you do not have to return to them for the scheduled maintenance and service that is necessary to keep your new car’s warranty intact. Read the fine print. Any reputable repair shop can service your new vehicle so long as you follow the proper maintenance intervals. In fact, more new cars are maintained by Independent garages than by dealerships. Why?

The reason is a basic one. Year after year, surveys disclose that Independents rank No. 1 when it comes to auto repair and customer satisfaction. Here at Kipling Car & Truck Service, our customers tell us it is because the work is done right, it is finished on time, and moreover, the technicians “know me, know my driving habits … and know cars”!

Remember then, you do not have to sacrifice personal attention when you purchase a new vehicle. Our skilled technicians are fully qualified to do the maintenance and service work required under new car warranties. And unlike the indifferent treatment you’d get at many of those big, impersonal dealerships, we’ll even explain to you what we have done when the work is completed.

Why settle for less? Stick with the people in your community that know you, and know cars – the neighbourhood professionals at Kipling Car & Truck Service.

Transmission

When you position yourself behind the steering wheel, turn the ignition key, shift the gear lever into “D” and press down on the accelerator pedal, you expect your car to move forward. If this is not happening, chances are it’s a little late for preventative maintenance on your transmission.

The technicians at Kipling Car & Truck Service take the maintenance of automatic transmissions very seriously.

They know that regularly adjusting the bands and replacing the filter and fluid will ensure your transmission is cooperative when you ask it to propel your car forward, or to move it backward. And it won’t wake your neighbours in the process. With our tender loving care, your transmission will operate smoothly, and quietly, too.

You yourself can help to keep your transmission happy. Here’s some good driving tips to extend its life:

  • Don’t shift from Drive or Reverse to Park while the car is moving. Always bring it to a stop, and then shift.
  • Check your fluid regularly. If you notice darkening in colour or if you see black specs in it, call us at (416) 231-7701. Let’s check things out right away, before there’s a big problem.
  • If you tow anything with your car, pay careful attention to the gears you’re using. Generally, you will want to avoid Overdrive. Adding a transmission fluid cooler to maintain the correct temperature may also be advisable.

Call us today, and together we’ll make sure your transmission continues to move you ahead.

Get a Grip!

Have you ever stopped to think how much contact your car actually has with the road? Your car (and YOU) stay on the road because of 4 hand-sized pieces of rubber compound. Let’s keep your tires properly inflated and rotated. And let’s replace your tires when the tread gets worn.

But there’s more to it than that. Your tires can also be an early warning system for other problems.

  • Are they worn on only one side? An alignment will help to solve that problem and improve your car’s fuel efficiency.
  • Does your car shake a certain speeds? It may need a wheel balance. A very slight difference in the weight from one half of your tire to the other can create a powerful vibration at high speeds.
  • Worn shocks can create other difficulties with your tires.

Here at Kipling Car & Truck Service, we like to see your tires and know what to look for. Bring them in for a visit.

You will begin to notice:

  • Roll or sway on turns
  • Front end “dives” when braking
  • Rear end “squats” when accelerating
  • Excessive bouncing or sideways slides on rough roads
  • Your vehicle “bottoming out”

Once you take it to Kipling Car & Truck Service the first things that we look for are:

  • Leaks on housing
  • Dents on the strut or shock body
  • Worn rubber mounting bushings
  • Abnormal tire wear
  • Damaged compression bumpers
  • Damaged protective boots

Loss of control of any vehicle will endanger lives of others on the road. If you are concerned about your car, call us today at (416) 231-7701. We will carefully examine your car and give you the options you want to repair the situation.

Every one from your father to your buddies to your bank manager has said to change your oil regularly. Well, everyone at Kipling Car & Truck Service will join the chorus. Your engine generates temperatures in excess of 200 degrees, or higher. Your motor oil lubricates and helps to cool your engine.

Over time motor oil loses some of its viscosity (its ability to flow). It is recommended that you change the oil in your car every 5,000 kilometres. Just call us at Kipling Car & Truck Service. We can change your oil this time or set up a schedule for you to regularly have your oil changed with the seasons, or each month depending on your driving habits.

And be sure to check your oil regularly. The proper fluid level is important to have your engine function at its peak efficiency.

Stay with whom you trust. We at Kipling Car & Truck Service proceed with only the work you approve, using only the quality parts that you accept. If we think using parts from an auto recycler is a viable alternative, we will advise you of this option. However, you have the choice, and YOU make the decision. Not some claims adjuster in… well who knows where.

Many people will say that the “Insurance company recommended garages” got their preferred status based on the number of corners they’re willing to cut.

Jorgen Mueller and Gavin Dunn are proud of the work done by their team at Kipling Car & Truck Service. If your car is important to you and if it is important that it continues to run the way it did before the difficulties, call us at (416) 231-7701. We will help you with the insurance paperwork, and we can speak to your claims adjuster if need be. Our team will fix it right. The way you want it fixed! After all, it is your car and it is you who should make these decisions.
